Payoff Already

This morning, I got up and did my routine. I put up the clean dishes, started laundry, ate and had my coffee. I was also able to get my toddler ready to go and give my hubby a bit of a break.

After that, I swished and swiped both bathrooms and did today’s FlyLady mission. Phew! My little one was still asleep so I balanced the checkbook and looked at the budget. I

t felt good to be productive, but that feeling wasn’t the payoff.

My little one is not feeling well today. We are having some sort of tummy issue. All of my plans are out the window, and I will spend most of today in the rocking chair cuddling and nursing.

The payoff is that I’m ok with that. Sure, there are things I need to do. I really need to vacuum and I can always use a good declutter (the donation lady had to reschedule for tomorrow so I have a whole extra 24 hours to get rid of things!!!).

Maybe I can do those during his afternoon nap. Maybe not. The house is presentable and clean, so I can focus on cuddling my little man and not feel any guilt.

That is a wonderfully unexpected payoff to my new FlyLady kick.

About anestinthemaking

Hi! I'm Kristi! I'm a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend. I'm a newbie to sewing and blogging, but I'm excited to get started! Sewing is the first hobby I've really had in a long time. In high school, I sang, I played the piano, I played in the band, I wrote in journals. I went off to college, got married, started a family, and lived a life without hobbies. How boring?! Then I started reading blogs. One thing led to another and soon I was at my co-worker's house borrowing her sewing machine! I haven't looked back since! Sewing is a release for me. It's so much fun to create beautiful and useful things. It's fun to be learning something new, and it's fun to share it with you! So welcome! Take a look around, and let me know you're here! I love to meet people and respond to every message I get! And I can't wait to meet you!
